Visit the library where Nicole works! Half of the building is a Carnegie Library completed in 1907 and the other half is a beautiful modern building that overlooks the Topiary Park.
Technically, this is the Topiary Garden at Old Deaf School Park, but most us just call it Topiary Park. The topiaries depict Georges Seurat's A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte including a small pond for the River Seine.
Visit one of our favorite places in Columbus: the zoo! We have again earned a spot on Condé Nast Traveler's list of 10 Best Zoos in the United States for 2025. There are many things to love about our zoo, the least of which is not the Asian small clawed otters ^_^ but one of the best parts is our manatee rescue and rehabilitation program! Stubby the manatee is a surrogate mother to the rescued young ones before they are released back into the wild.
